Ever wondered what sperm under the microscope ACTUALLY looks like? Well, now is your chance!

We are the only fertility clinic which, not only provides the important data of a semen analysis, but a very personal & visual aid to help you to decipher what it all means.

This is currently an add-on for those who are already booked in for a semen analysis. If you would like to submit a sample for a photograph ONLY, please enquire directly with us via email.

When you book a semen analysis with us, you will have the option to request a photograph of your sperm, for a small additional fee.

Once you have received your semen analysis report (3 working days after your appointment), you’ll receive a separate email with your photos attached. We also include a simple breakdown of the types of cells shown, and any other useful observations.

Please be aware that photographs are a snapshot of your sample and can not be used solely for interpretation. The main purpose is to provide extra context and a once in a lifetime chance to see your own sperm cells!

We will take multiple photographs of your sample and send you the clearest images possible (minimum 2 photos.)

As this is a still image, it is not possible to see the sperm movement but, as in the images above you will be able to see the shape and structure of your very own sperm cells.

Whether you are just curious or wanting to understand more, opt-in for a photo on the booking page. If you forget or change your mind, please ask the Andrologist at your appointment - once the sample has been discarded after analysis, it will not be possible to retrieve it.
